Lets talk stage design…
Both seek to achieve a grand appearance of course, lifted high with cascading steps down to the minions…
You have to have a big video back drop, thats obvious, its 2016!…but one reaches a complexity which will be multifaceted doubling as an interchangeable backdrop as well as a concert stage. I think it seems a more elegant solution thus far…The other has shiny sharp shards bookending the screen…Not much but a harsh pointless bling to me…
Most importantly these stages are purpose built for the function of a single presenter… The most basic geometry of a circle or an ellipse…Most of us would acknowledge the ellipse harkens to a sophistication beyond the obvious…but in reality I would offer it has 2 focal points, not a true center focus, leaving the podium floating in space out front…The power of placement can do weird things to one’s perception. Having the podium placed directly in the center of the focal point of its geometry, (the circle), the podium commands the stage presence. Simple maneuvers such as this can convey power subconsciously in subtle ways more successfully than the “in your face” harsh shiny shards mentality.
Just a thought…
